But NO you don't need it thanks to this gadgets or apps that well i have found useful , for making your Ubuntu desktop perfect .  

1. Unity tweak-tool

This will help you to customize your Ubuntu desktop and will give you some options to choose : new themes , security options , icon themes and more !!

2.Geary mail 

So for me is so annoying opening Chromium or Mozilla and then enter my gmail and waiting that the page loads and every mail appears , well this is the option for changing that thanks that geary just load the mail and then ask you if you want to download any picture that came in that mail .

3.Corebird




 So Corebird is a very handy app for using twitter as a desktop application , is very easy to use but you have 2 ways of download threw the software center or the terminal .

With the new updates JAVA doesn't exist anymore so this is were visual VM comes in with Java 8 and policity tool .
